School Policies
Attendance
The law requires school age children to attend school regularly. At Harvey Rice Wraparound School we expect ALL students to be in school everyday and on time. Research proves that regular and punctual attendance in school is directly related to your child's success. Please help your child be successful by making sure they are in school everyday and on time unless they are sick, there is a family illness, or a death in the family.
Please do not send your child to school if they are sick, as germs easily spread and can cause others to get sick!
In the event that your child will be absent, please call (216) 838-1500 and have your child bring a note when he/she returns to school. Please include your name, your child's name, and their room number, date of the absence and the reason for the absence.
Attendance includes absences, tardies, AND early dismissals. Attendance referrals will be made for the parents of children with chronic unexcused absences, tardies, and/or early dismissals which could involve the Department of Children & Family Services, Court action, and fines.
